Gender dysphoria is a psychological condition.

Minors suffering from gender dysphoria will, the vast majority of the time simply out grow it.

Gender is determined by your chromosomes.

Chromosome structure cannot be altered by any medical procedure.

Given these indisputable facts questions about the transgender movement’s ultimate goals, sources of funding, and consequences for our military are not just natural, they are demanded

Are you a psychologist, psychiatrist or other MD who has proof gender dysphoria is condition that will be grown out of? Because there are many studies that site sex to be determined by chromosomes (unless you are intersex - and there are many) and the GENDER to be determined in the brain and by hormonal development in-utero. It's not black-and-white based on genitals. Also that gender dysphoria lasts well into your senior years (see Caitlyn Jenner and Harper Steele - who apparently did not grow out of it). Also, for your education, here is a paper that walks you through this. I'm the mother of a child who is trans, and no, none of it is "natural" -- that's precisely why trans minors need access to medical care. My child's medical procedures are to align her physical body with her brain, and to live a long, vibrant life. Further, brain MRI shows it is precisely like her cis mother's, not her cis father's. Enjoy reading, and please stop commenting without true studies/proof to back it up. Thank you. https://web.archive.org/web/20150317071633/http://www.avitale.com/developmentalreview.htm

The researchers concluded: 'The results of the current studies might help adolescents to realize that it is normal to have some doubts about one's identity. Do an internet search; the number of studies that come to this conclusion are overwhelming. Can't stop commenting, trying to stop child abuse. Also search gender affirming care in Europe. They are way ahead of the U.S. in this regard.

Many studies have shown that minors suffering from gender dysphoria will, the vast majority of the time simply out grow it. The majority of gender-confused children grow out of that feeling by the time they are fully grown adults, according to a long-term study.

Researchers in the Netherlands tracked more than 2,700 children from age 11 to their mid-twenties, asking them every three years of feelings about their gender.

Results showed at the start of the research, around one-in-10 children (11 percent) expressed 'gender non-contentedness' to varying degrees.

But by age 25, just one-in-25 (4 percent) said they 'often' or 'sometimes' were discontent with their gender.

The researchers concluded: 'The results of the current study might help adolescents to realize that it is normal to have some doubts about one’s identity and one’s gender identity during this age period and that this is also relatively common.' Only about 1.7% of the population is estimated to be born with intersex traits. Your abusing your child.

Gee, thanks for the back up single study that is quick to confuse anyone and is weaponized (instead of the vast brain science and prenatal science) Gender "discontentedness" & gender dysphoria are completely different. Apples & oranges. I appreciate your allowing me to clarify with the author's own notes:

"... this new study focuses on gender NON-CONTENTEDNESS in the general population."

"The researchers EMPHASIZE that while for the majority of adolescent participants their gender-related questions seem to be compatible with normal development, THE STUDY ALSO SUGGESTS a small proportion might progress into clinically relevant GENDER DYSPHORIA and require appropriate care."

My child falls under the latter. So no, not child abuse, but evidence-based medical care for gender dysphoria.

Once again, wondering why Caitlyn Jenner & Harper Steele did not "grow out of it" by age 25? Do you or the authors of the study have any idea? Because they would have loved that!

If you don't have a trans member of your family, nor are trans yourself, your knowledge is limited to only what ends up in your (conservative) feed to make you feel good about marginalizing an entire community. Read the definitions below (because I'd hate for you to continue to sound confused.) And also fyi is a list of trusted organizations that support gender-affirming care.

* Gender non-contentedness:
a person feels "somewhat uncomfortable" with their assigned gender, but doesn't necessarily cause major distress or impact their functioning.

* Gender dysphoria:
Represents a more severe level of discomfort and distress related to one's gender identity, often leading to significant psychological impacts.

The American Medical Association considers gender-affirming care to be medically necessary and EVIDENCE-BASED.
